Richard Mille supports attempt to break world sailing speed record

In 2012 the new sailing world speed record was set at 65 knots. Now, Richard Mille and boat builder SP80 have teamed up to break the record with a design measuring 7 metres long and 6 metres wide, with a hull made entirely from Carbon TPT and propelled by a kite spanning 20 metres.

Richard Mille will also be providing Carbon TPT, which it uses in some of its most successful watches.

Maserati and Soldini’s Flying Multi70 Trimaran Break a Sailing Record

12 hours, 15 minutes, and 21 seconds. That’s how long it took the Multi70 skipper, Giovanni Soldini, to sail 239 miles (384 kilometers), from the U.K. to France at an average speed of 26.84 knots, breaking the time set by Lloyd Thornburg and Brian Thompson back in 2015 by almost two hours!

Have you heard of the Sea Scouts? They’re a Youth Program within the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). The co-ed program is open to ages 14-21 and operates year-round. Participants learn a host of hands-on skills within the maritime industry as well as leadership skills.
