Game of Thrones Star Leads Seagrass Restoration Effort in Wales

If you're a Game of Thrones fan, you'll love this! Iwan Rheon, known for playing Ramsay Bolton, is leading the UK's largest underwater habitat restoration off the coast of north Wales.

Over 1.5 million seagrass seeds have been harvested from the Llyn Peninsula to create new meadows in Gwynedd and Anglesey, supporting marine life.

Seagrass meadows are powerful carbon sinks, absorbing up to 35 times more carbon than rainforests and storing 10% of the ocean's carbon despite covering just 0.2% of the ocean floor. That’s why our savvy navvy app now highlights vital seagrass data to boost environmental awareness.

18-year-old Makes History Circumnavigating the UK in an Electric RIB

Harry Besley set off on July 13 to become the first to circumnavigate the UK in an electric boat. Starting in Dorset, he completed the 1,600-mile journey in 31 days, 22 hours, and 20 minutes, returning to Dorset on August 14. Along the way, Harry stopped at 40 locations, spending over 75 hours on the water in his electric RIB.

His mission aims to raise awareness of zero-emission boating and demonstrate that long-distance trips are possible with electric power. We're thrilled that Harry used savvy navvy as one of his navigation tools. Congratulations, Harry!
